Norell : American Dean of Fashion was designed in collaboration with FIT Deputy Director Patricia Mears and well known Fashion Designer and Author Jeffrey Banks. It showcases Norman Norell’s work during the last 12 years of his multi-decade career. The platform lay-out reflects the simplistic elegance of Norell’s fashion statement and provides ample display space for over 100 garments ranging from sequined gowns to overcoats and everyday wear. A large circular central platform focused on his iconic evening wear which was delicately lit by a large glowing chandelier.
