New Exhibit for the Museum at FIT

PINK: The history of a Punk, Pretty, and Powerful Color -  is the name for the up and coming Fall 2018 Exhibition at the Museum at FIT.  Exhibition design always begins with the list of objects generated by the curator, Museum Director Dr. Valerie Steele.  In this sketch we have located approximately 60 historic objects between the two main rooms of the Museum's below grade Special Exhibitions Gallery.  The smaller introduction room features a U-shaped platform to reinforce the continuous historical nature of the objects, contrasted by the rectilinear style checkerboard pattern in the main room.  From here our next step will be working with the Museum's production team to develop full scale mock ups.  Stay tuned!
